New Directions

I’ve been honing my skills in realism and figurative painting in watercolor, always with more to explore and improve, but have been excited to work in color, value, texture and saturation as an end in itself. Here are a few of my new explorations in collage, painted papers and percolating themes on migration, escape, travel and reaching. My mind is exploding with metaphor and visual ideas which are also percolating in my dreams. I think that giving myself permission to explore an inner landscape based on intuition is unlocking fertile ground. It is also changing the way I see the world around me.
